Letter 3: Full Harvest Moon in Aries, Mars, The Head, The Root Chakra, & Carnelian
“Shine and shimmer my Harvest Moon, illuminate the shadows in the sky.” -A.F. Stewart
I hope everything has been well for you since the last newsletter. I am also hoping that like the quote above, this Harvest Moon allows you to illuminate the shadows within yourself in the best way possible.
I also want to say, I received some of your messages after the last email was sent, and I appreciate the feedback and the personal messages. Messages like yours are reaffirming the reason that I am feeling called to build this newsletter and send out free information and guidance. So, thank you so much for the support, and I am so grateful that I am reaching you in such a profound way. That is all I could ask for out of this experience. Anyways, let’s get into the good stuff.
As I stated just a moment ago, there is a full moon today in fire sign Aries! Full moons always bring about the craziest energies, whether this affects you in a positive way or a less favorable way. I believe this one came at such a perfect time of the year though, as it aligns so perfectly to the energy of the zodiac season we are currently in!
The element of fire cannot exist without ether and air elements. Ether allows the fire space to be, while air gives movement for fire to exist. So, as luck would have it this month, the energies of the Full moon in fire sign Aries has been given life by air sign Libra. In the name of describing healing and how spirit works through the energies of the cosmos, I want to create an analogy. Think of it this way, on your healing journey you are always headed towards an end goal, becoming balanced and whole (aka Libra). To get to this goal, you go through loads of major and minor transformations in your individual experience (aka Ether). You are unable to transform without the power of desire, energy and motivation (aka Aries). The whole process to me just screams Ether, Air, & Fire elements. Everything coincides together and builds off of each other's energies in a very divinely aligned way to get us to our highest good.
Last newsletter, I spoke about the Harvest and Autumn Equinox, so I won’t go far into the meaning of this again. I will, however, add that it also correlates to the energies that are being brought forward by the moon. We are ready to harvest everything that we have been working on. To be able to harvest the energies of this we have to WANT this new life for ourselves. So continue your manifesting, and really dig deeper this moon into your why reasons, why are you where you are now? What originally drove you to become more connected to your personal healing? What is it that drives you to become a better you? What can you improve on, or balance in your life currently? All very good shadow work questions that can be as vague or as revealing as you allow them to be.
Now, let’s talk more deeply about the governing planet of Aries, Mars. Mars is the fourth planet away from the sun, and appears to us in the night sky as a bright and shimmering orange-ish red. This planet affects us in so many ways. Remember that it doesn’t matter if you have certain signs or planets prominent in your astrology chart for it to have an effect on you.
Mars and the Root Chakra coincide quite well actually, as both control our relationship to willpower, determination, desire, power, lust, security, aggression, anger, survival, etc. Mars helps us to understand what drives us, and where we can best use our energy. It also dictates how you understand, cope, and express any anger or aggression you may experience in your life.
If you are feeling anxieties about finances or home, if you are feeling easily irritated and angry over what used to be small issues, then it is very likely that your Mars and your root chakra are unbalanced. There are many ways to balance these things in your body, since the universe is ever providing for these types of things. You can, of course, always start a practice that involves moving your body, like yoga or any type of activity that gets your heart beat elevated and your energy in your body flowing. I read something interesting once that stated, if you are trying to balance your mars then work on balancing your sun. This would include things like developing a solid morning routine, learning to understand your goals or what goals you can set for yourself to help you to feel a purpose. You can also take on dietary habits of eating more root vegetables and more things red in color. I suggest you do further research if this is a practice that interests you. I remember when I first started my healing journey, it was easiest to understand what was happening in my body and in my energy, through understanding the chakras. They are a beautiful modality that connects the way energy affects our physical and spiritual bodies.
With that said, I’d like to add that in medical astrology, Mars and Aries govern the head, blood, muscles, and energy levels. In this week’s newsletter though I want to speak more on the head. Now, when I say the head I am meaning everything from the neck up. Specifically the inside of the head, like the brain, the bone structure, and sinuses. There are more things that Mars governs but for the sake of your time I want to only speak on dis-ease that shows up in the head and why. It is very likely that you or someone you know has suffered from headaches, and stress. Likely, they are the reason for each other. If you are having any of these trapped emotions then it is likely you suffer from headaches and chronic stress. Afterwards I want to speak more on dealing with environmental stress and practices that can alleviate letting go of these emotions so that you are no longer the sufferer or the victim of your past.
The Head Emotions as Explained in “Feelings Buried Alive Never Die” by Karol K Truman
-
Inability to resolve emotional upsets
-
Hurt feelings going unexpressed
-
Feelings of inner pressure working on you
-
Feeling unable to control
-
Feelings of fear & anxiety getting the best of you
-
Unpleasant relationships
-
Inability to face an issue
-
Impatience with self that you haven’t done enough
-

-
Not seeing the good in anything
These can be very heavy topics to have to dive into especially if headaches are the main physical symptom you are facing without knowing the cause. I always say that when you are starting shadow work you should work on the symptom that is bothering you the most and dive deeper into that specific one until you find the root cause(s).
Now is the best time to mention how Mars, Aries, The Head, & The Root Chakra all have a very common and positive denominator. COURAGE! I want to say how proud I am of you for having the courage to take your journey right now and I highly suggest you tell yourself how proud of you you are for being so brave and courageous. Especially in this difficult time on earth where we are constantly cleaning up the issues that have been buried and long forgotten in the past. Rather physical or mental, by us or by others. There are so many environmental factors that contribute to everyone’s mental health states. Media, inflation, growing up, air pollution, plastics, etc. It seems that almost everything around us can cause us to live in a state of constant stress. It is important now more than ever to really find what it is you love and take time to yourself to follow passion rather than chasing reward. It is also so beneficial to get outside and into nature away from the hustle of the world and the nagging need it has for us to stay busy and stressed. Society relies on each of our stresses to keep running how it is running, so let’s not give it the power anymore and return the power to ourselves and get our mental health back on track! You can do it and remember to keep having courage everyday, even if you have to fight to find it sometimes.
Like I mentioned in the first newsletter I released, I always want to mention a witchy topic and some fun information at the end of each newsletter to help you learn something new! This week I want to talk about the crystal Carnelian.

Ancient Egyptians believed that carnelian assisted the soul on its journey and provided protective powers in the afterlife. It stabilizes high energies, whether negative or positive. Worn to calm anger and jealousy and restore vitality. It can also be used to cleanse other stones! It removes the fear of death, and helps you to accept the cycle of life. It is said to be an aid in those overcoming abuse, and helps you to learn to trust yourself. It also motivates you to search for success in your business matters.
