Letter 15: Capricorn Season, 2024 (the year of abundance), Heart Activations & New moon in Capricorn

This week we will get into the meanings of the Capricorn season as well as explore the vast networking and meanings of the heart center and heart activations that occur here, we will  get familiar with the year ahead of us and it’s numerological meaning and how we can bring abundance with it’s energies and last but not least we will talk all about the Capricorn New Moon! So, get cozy and take a few deep breaths and prepare to internalize some mystical information about the world around and within us!

Since December 22nd we have found ourselves enveloped by the energy of the Capricorn zodiac sign. This sign is governed by many traits, but the most commonly known of this sign is that they are business oriented, hardworking, very left brained individuals and have a good sense of logic. Led by the head over the heart, Capricorns are practical, detail oriented, idealistic, grounded and great at pursuing and achieving practical goals.

Even though this season is ending January 20th, we still have plenty of time to reap its benefits and utilize its energies. This earth sign pushes us to look at what is in front of us and be able to logically see the best way to come to a decision. There is a largely seen theme that has been going on for a few months that is bringing many of us to make choices about things we have been putting off, if you have noticed new things coming up in your relationships with certain people, old habits that have been coming back stronger, and most especially if you have been noticing more shifts within your work life, then this is showing you the area of your life where you need to make a choice. Are you ready to leave these things behind? Are you prepared for what they might bring into your life if you don’t leave them? Are you prepared for what will come into your life once they are gone? These are all great questions that the Capricorn has brought to us. As Sagittarius helped us to see the wider picture of what it is we wished for in our lives, now Capricorn helps us all to find the most logical and practical way to achieve those manifestations.

Not only does Capricorn help us to bring things to an end but it also helps us to begin a new chapter. Just as it helps us with the shift from one year to another, this season will be showing you how to forge your own way and continue on a path of alignment. If you have been feeling especially motivated, and finding new senses of passion then you have Capricorn season to thank. Spring is coming up soon, and this part of the year gives us a little taste of what it can be like all the time once we unthaw. It helps us align all of our physical goals and teaches us how to be the boss of our own life and take charge of where our destiny is heading.

Have you set any goals for the new year yet? It is such a common tradition to start the new year with making new goals and a list of things we wish to achieve. If you haven’t made a physical list but have some ideas for what you want to see yourself being or doing this year then get ready! Luck is on our side this year. The numerological energy of this year is the number 8. Numerology is a belief system that assigns mystical and symbolic meanings to numbers. The interpretations vary depending on the numerology system used. You discover this by long adding all of the numbers together like this 2+0+2+4 = 8. If you want to find out your personal energy for the year then add your birth month and day plus 2024. For example, mine would be 1+1+1+7+2+0+2+4 = 18, and since numerology stays in the single digits you would then add those together if they are higher than 9, so 1+8 = 9, so my personalized numerology for the year carries the energy of the 9.

Anyways, let’s get back to the year of the 8. In numerology 8 represents financial abundance, prosperity, inner strength, confidence, and brings achievement in social and business ventures. This year we very well may see ourselves accomplishing most if not all of our manifestations that we created for the new year. I have found many sources of professional numerologists saying that this year is to test us in the areas I mentioned before, but for personal growth we all have to undergo a little pressure sometimes. But, this will more than pay off in the end as we carry this energy of luck and abundance with us this year.

Here is a brief overview of the basic meanings associated with the numbers 1 through 9 in traditional Western numerology.

1- Independence, leadership, originality, self-reliance.

2- Cooperation, balance, harmony, partnerships.

3- Creativity, communication, expression, joy.

4- Stability, order, practicality, hard work.

5- Freedom, adventure, change, versatility.

6- Harmony, family, responsibility, service.

7- Spirituality, introspection, wisdom, analysis.

8- Power, success, achievement, material abundance.

9- Compassion, completion, humanitarianism, wisdom.

It's important to note that numerology is a pseudoscience, and its interpretations are highly subjective. Different practitioners and systems may offer different interpretations for the same numbers. It is often used for personal insight, self-discovery, and as a tool for reflection rather than for making concrete predictions. Its origins can be traced back to ancient civilizations, and various cultures have developed their own systems of assigning meanings to numbers.

Now that we know what this year has in store for us energetically we can talk more about something that started happening over the break that I wasn’t around to speak about but I was definitely feeling it! This is the world of heart activations! I take a pretty eclectic approach to my practice, but I find myself using eastern techniques very often as I try to understand the connection from the body to the inner world of emotions. I have spoken about the heart centers before as part of a Chakra section in one of my past newsletters, but to briefly touch base on it again for those that are unfamiliar the heart chakra sits in the center of your chest and is responsible for the arms, the functioning of the heart as well as emotions of love, compassion, peace, and harmony. An out of balance heart center looks like jealousy, heart ailments, pain or tension in the arm muscles, lack of empathy and compassion for self and for others, grief, etc. Lately I have been called to speak more about the heart because I noticed a lot of people were experiencing physical symptoms that had to do with the heart, myself included. Heart activations occur when our heart energy center is becoming lighter, if you are doing shadow work to release specific emotions that the heart center governs, if you are getting energy work done that forces the energy in your centers to shift, then you might notice a change in the physical part of your body here as it begins to open up to higher frequencies and let more light in. This can feel scary, like heart palpitations, jumping beats, chest tightness, etc, but these can all also be symptoms of the heart chakra being activated. This is not to say that these can’t be symptoms of something else, but if you are like me and had one really hard and weird day where your heart was feeling crazy and you even have been to a doctor and nothing was causing it, then it is safe to look at the energetic side of things and note that it could also be the cause. As we are in the season of Capricorn that is led by the brain, it is easy to forget that your heart needs some love too and can offer just as much guidance!

Some ways you can assist yourself during heart activations are being easy and gracious with yourself, allowing yourself time to rest and relax, self care, drinking teas like hawthorn, rose, hibiscus, red raspberry and even cacao can allow you some more energy in the area where the energy is unsettled and trying to find balance. Rest is a vital part of any energy shift, allowing your body to reset and relax will be the best thing you can do for yourself, that and drinking water!

From the pulsating energy of heart activations, we transition to the cosmic event of the Capricorn New Moon. Just as our hearts open, this encourages us to set intentions, aligning with the universe's steady pulse for growth and change. The New Moon finds us on January 11th this year and carries a spiritual significance rooted in earthy wisdom and transformation. Capricorn is associated with ambition, responsibility, and a structured approach to life. In the spiritual realm, this New Moon signifies a powerful time for introspection, goal-setting, and grounding spiritual intentions into actions. As the moon aligns with the logical energy of Capricorn, it encourages us to reflect on our life path, take stock of our achievements and challenges, and set realistic and achievable goals. It prompts us to embrace a patient and methodical approach to personal growth and spiritual development. Capricorn is a great teacher to have for navigating the year of the 8!

This lunar phase urges us to connect with our inner strength, resilience, and determination. Along with the New year, this is an opportune moment to release what no longer serves our higher purpose and to build a solid foundation for spiritual endeavors. The Capricorn New Moon invites us to integrate our spiritual aspirations into our daily lives, fostering a harmonious balance between the ethereal and the practical aspects of our existence. Symbolized by the mountain goat, Capricorn signifies a steady climb toward personal and spiritual heights, mirroring the disciplined approach to life that the season calls for. This cosmic alignment acts as a celestial reset button, urging us to release the past, set heart-centered intentions, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Capricorn, with its steadfast and practical energy, acts as a grounding force that supports and channels the transformative energies of the heart. In essence, the spiritual meaning of the Capricorn New Moon lies in the fusion of spiritual insight with disciplined action, encouraging us to climb the metaphorical mountain of self-discovery with patience, determination, and a mindful awareness of the steps we take along the way.

Thanks so much for joining in this week! I hope the information finds you well and you are able to utilize it to your best intentions.
