Sagittarius Full Moon - The Strawberry Moon

The Strawberry Full Moon: Fertile Ground for Growth & Expansion

The Strawberry Full Moon rises on June 11th, a name rooted in the seasonal rhythms of nature and ancient timekeeping. Named by the Algonquin tribes and recognized through European traditions, this moon marks the time when wild strawberries begin to ripen, signaling sweetness, fertility, and the lush abundance of early summer. Emotionally, this moon peels back layers of confusion or stagnancy. You may feel raw or energized. That’s the solar plexus awakening, asking you to stand in your power and honor what fuels your joy. If you’ve been stuck in routines or mindsets that no longer reflect who you are becoming, this moon creates the ideal energetic window to shed old skins and expand into new timelines. It's also a good time to review the intentions you set around the Winter Solstice or New Year. What’s manifesting? What’s shifted?

As one of the last full moons of spring or the first of summer, it holds a unique energetic threshold; we stand between seasons, between who we were and who we are becoming.

The Energetics of the Strawberry Full Moon:

This moon carries the bold, expansive energy of fire and Jupiter, aligned with the solar plexus chakra, the seat of willpower, identity, and purpose. Expect themes of:

  • Emotional clarity
  • Personal expansion and learning
  • Freedom from stagnant routines
  • Optimism and hope
  • Manifesting aligned desires

If the spring season was about planting seeds, this moon invites us to step back and reflect on what we actually need to help those seeds grow. Sometimes we chase outcomes so fiercely that we forget to nurture the roots. This moon illuminates those tendencies, urging us to move forward not with desperation, but with deliberate power.

Rituals & Correspondences

This full moon is ideal for candle magic and intention-setting rituals that bring clarity and movement. Here are a few correspondences to guide your practice:

Reflect and Recalibrate

Looking ahead to the next six months, what are you working toward? What truly supports your growth, and what’s keeping you small? This moon urges us to shed limiting beliefs, break internal barriers, and move toward our purpose.

Remember, six months ago, you were in a different place. Acknowledge how far you’ve come, even if progress feels slow. Release the need for control, and allow this full moon to reignite your momentum with clarity and trust.

Strawberry Full Moon Ritual:

You’ll need:

  1. A yellow or white candle (for clarity and solar plexus activation)
  2. A piece of citrine or labradorite
  3. A sprinkle of mugwort or cinnamon (or both)
  4. A journal and pen
  5. A fire-safe dish or cauldron

1.Cleanse your space
Light some sage or palo santo to clear the air. Breathe deeply, releasing what feels heavy or stagnant.

2. Optional: Dress your candle in orange, or bay oil and mugwort

3. Light your candle
As the flame catches, say:
“With this fire, I awaken clarity. I burn away doubt. I call in truth, purpose, and power.”

4. Hold your crystal
Sit quietly and hold citrine or labradorite near your solar plexus. Feel into what your body is telling you—where you're ready to grow, and what you’re ready to release.

5. Reflect + write
In your journal, write two lists:

What is supporting you for the next six months?

What is holding you back?

6. Burn and release
Tear out the “holding me back” list and carefully burn it in your fire-safe dish. As it turns to ash, say:
“I release what limits me. I step into expansion.”

7. Close with sweetness
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or mugwort around your candle or in your palm, and whisper:
“May the path ahead be sweet, bold, and true.”

Let the candle burn safely for a while, then snuff it out with gratitude.
